Perfect Arty Christmas Gift

Having purchased many arty 'gimmicks' before, I was a bit dubious about this one, but I can honestly say this one is brilliant!

MARKER AIRBRUSH KIT:
It has a pump action airbrush compressor (so no batteries!), lots of stencils, a good selection of coloured pens, some of which you can even use on fabrics and is really simple to use - as tried and tested by our 6 year old artists.
​
This Marker Airbrush kit from Crayola kept the kids entertained for literally hours and they didn't want to put it away. It is really good quality and as its from a reputable manufacturer, getting replacement pens is also possible.
​
This is a must for any little artist's Christmas list. 10/10!!!
Usborne books are amazing!

We were recently given 3 Usborne books for review - Sticker Spooky, Witches & Wizards Sticker Book and Spooky Doodles. As parents, we were so impressed with the quality of the sticker books - believe me, with twin girls and a little boy who love stickers and drawing, we have gone through a lot of sticker books!!!

The Usborne books are amazing quality. They are fun, interactive and filled with things to do - so what better way to put them to the test, than on a damp dull day during the school half term by sticker book experts, Lilly and Tia...
​
"Oh mummy, these look good" they squeal with delight as they begin to open them. "Mine has a scary witch in it with loads of stickers! What's your one got?"... "Mine has got monsters and vampires that you can put funny clothes on!"
​
And then, SILENCE!!!
​
The books kept them busy for almost an hour, as here's why:

'Sticker Spooky' is a lovely coloured book jam packed with monsters, goblins, ghosts and zombies, which you can dress using the pages of sticker clothes - allowing imaginations to run wild.
​
'Witches & Wizards' is crammed full of halloween scenes from inside the witches house to the spell workers ball. With over 500 stickers, adding characters, clothes and halloween objects into the spooky scenes provide lots of fun and laughs.
​
'Spooky Doodles' is a smaller A5 size book which has more than 100 pages of creepy scenes, colouring pictures, dot-to-dot games and so much more. Its an ideal size for taking out with you in your handbag for use in a car, at grandparents, or at a restaurant to keep them entertained.
​
The Usborne books are by far, better quality and content than most other brands we have had previously and the entertainment factor has been priceless.
​
I would totally recommend these for a rainy day, as part of a birthday gift or to get their imaginations working without any mess.
​
The kids loved them and still have pages left to finish.
​
All that's left to say is, we can't wait to see what Usborne has to offer in its Christmas range!!!

Local cycle shop - top marks!

If your looking for somewhere for Santa to get the kids bikes from, then look no further than Woods Cycles in Headcorn, Kent.
​
This small village shop has been here for longer than I have! My first bike came from here over 30 years ago. My twin girls first bikes came from here 3 years ago and last weekend I again found myself back at Woods Cycles for their second bikes - which will be duly delivered by Santa on Christmas Day!!!
​
We really shopped around this time, and visited many local cycle shops but the service and knowledge that they give you at Woods, just doesn't compare.
​
The owner has so much time and patience with customers. Nothing was too much trouble. We spent about an hour in there, trying different bikes and getting advice.
​
"I like the bike, but the seat is too hard"... "No problem" he said "we'll swap it over for this one off the shelf free of charge!"
​
Now you wouldn't get that in Halfords!!!
​
I can totally recommend this shop. They are taking orders now for Christmas bikes with a holding deposit of just £20 and can be collected on behalf of Santa right up until Christmas Eve.

Disney Planes Wallpaper - Argos & House of Fraser

Disney Planes wallpaper - great quality and hangs really well. Pattern meets up perfectly. Paper is nice and thick. Colours are really bright.

Room looks amazing - would not hesitate to recommend this product! 10/10
Cabin Bed (Declan range) from Argos

Before purchasing this bed, we looked around at all options. Other shops were selling similar beds for much more money - this was by far the best value for money at £99.99.
​
It was delivered for free the same day as placing the order instore! And arrived in perfect condition.
​
It took about an hour and half to build and fitted together almost perfectly.
​
The result, a very strong and sturdy bed - excellent value for money and has gained us plenty of storage space.
​
The only negative, is that you are given a shelf with pre-drilled holes for it to either be placed in the left, right or center compartment, however, if you use it as a shelf in the center part, you cannot shut the doors! So not sure why they botherd to pre-drill the holes there!!!
​
Great bed. 9/10.
